another garment from the drama << The Empress of China >>

This garment is also from the china drama << The Empress of China >> .  The garment was worn when she was officially announced that she became the Empress , and rule the world . The main colors that used to create this look is red and gold . Focus on the head ornaments: Colored coin. The colored coin pastes with the rubber on forehead the small decorations. The anthocephalus chinensis shape is the common modeling, is the Tang Dynasty quite popular one kind of jewelry. The glue flower coin's rubber is one kind the rubber, this thing passes through breathes as when warming the hands then becomes sticky, handing down glances to make with the fish, the cohesive force is very strong, may be used to stick the arrow feather. The cloud pattern red coral sends the ornamental hairpin and Jin Fengguan, step to swing, volume chain all head ornaments to match the gold by the red coral, before not having the decorative design, showed the empress to be elegant and solemn . I do belief china designer are quite powerful and strong , as the picture have prove to me a lot .

Garment from the drama of << The empress of china >>

This is a beautiful traditional chinese type garment from the china drama << The Empress of China >> . Black with matching colors of gold is this set of modeling key point, as manifesting the solemn two choices, does not take the bottom color by the black, decorates with the golden pattern, revealed extravagantly in the low key, but not unsophisticated personal status . Even if places on the modern woolen cloth coat, makes people to feel Chinese , but is not vulgar. It allows the people looks powerful and strong to lead or control the whole nation . And , i think this garment definitely 100% handmade , it is quite hard to see the stitches , i think the tailor uses hidden stitches at the most time .

1930s hairstyle

In the 1930s, the major trends for hairstyles were all about waves. With a softer look than the sleek bob  and tight ringlets of the 1920s, women began wearing their hair in more feminine styles with parts sweeping to the side or down the middle. At the beginning of the decade, short hair still reigned with tresses kept close to the head. But as the 1930s marched on, women started opting for longer hair. hats

Hats have been around for a very long time. It is impossible to say when the first animal skin was pulled over a head as protection against the elements and although this was not a hat in the true sense, it was realized that covering your head could sometimes be an advantage. One of the first hats to be depicted was found in a tomb painting at Thebes and shows a man wearing a coolie-style straw hat. Other early hats include the Pileus, which was a simple skull cap, the Phrygian cap, which became identified later as the 'liberty cap' given to slaves in Greece and Rome when they were made free men, and the Pestasos which comes from ancient Greece and is the first known hat with a brim. Although women from an early stage were always expected to have their heads covered by veils, kerchiefs, hoods, caps and wimples, it was not until the end of the 16th century that women's structured hats, based on those of male courtiers began to be seen.

Some research jobs

                                                                           gathers

pleats
A fold in fabric that is either inverted or folded outward, is not sewn except on the top edge (as in a skirt or slacks waistband), and provides decorative or functional fullness.
tucks
See pin tuck. A method of folding and then sewing fabric together resulting in a raised seam, often seen in heirloom sewing, the bodice of a woman's blouse or a man's formal shirt.

Croset research part 3

Look through the Web side again  to know more about croset in the past , this time is about the Regency and Victorian.
When the waist moves back to its natural place during the 1820s, corsets become more popular again. Until the 1840s, well-shaped figures can do without one without drawing Looks. In 1828, lacing eyelets with hammered-in metal grommets are invented (until then, eyelets had been stitched). A year later, the planchet came in: Two metal strips, one with little mushroom-shaped heads, the other with eyelets, used to close and open the corset in front without having to undo the lacing every time. This busk, as it is called in English, makes it possible to change the lacing completely: Both ends of the cord are threaded through the eyelets crosswise and knotted together at the end. At waist level, one loop is formed on either side and used to pull the lacing tight. This kind of lacing is still used today.

Corset part 2 research

Did my research on corset again _
Corset is an undergarment traditionally made of stiffened material laced tight to the body in order to slim a woman's waist and evidence shows that some type of waist-cinching garment was worn by cretan women between 3000 and 1500 B.C. , but narrow waists became the fashion among women in Europe during the Middle Ages. Women from that period wore a forerunner of the corset, called a body or stay, or a pair of stays. The rigid, bust-to-hip corset became popular in the sixteenth century and persisted in various guises up through the middle of the twentieth century.

Corset

Having some history lesson of fashion on last Tuesday about corset and I do go Internet look for some of it history and this is what I get .
The origins of the corset are unknown. From the early 16th century, corset-shaped cages of iron are preserved, but it's almost certain that they had nothing to do with normal clothing. Theories run from early fetish accessories to brute attempts at orthopaedics.

Colour of the year (2017)

For a world weary of so much red and blue, green may be just the right tone for the  Pantone Color of the Year of 2017 Greenery is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew.
